Lastman - Howard MacKenzie - 5 headcanons - For malurette
Fandom: Lastman
Character: Howard MacKenzie
Disclaimer: not mine
Rating: P-13?
Warning: spoilers for most of the tv shows, currently reading the manga, might be "jossed" (if by it, you mean "severely wrong headcanons because didn't read the whole series". Uh, in this case, I am sorry.
Spoil for the volume 10)
1. Howard didn't remember his own parents and he didn't care for most of his life. He had his brother and books and then THE book he had found in an old dusty library he couldn't care to remember the owner's name. He was quite young at this time and was captivated by the idea of a whole new world to explore, different from his own (and better, far better).
2. He loved to read it again and again, to the point of being able to say aloud entire parts without picking it. But picking it anyway because he loved the frame of the letters, watching the illustrations, the taste of the words rolling from his mouth as he read it.
3. He was patient with Charles because he was nice and intelligent and never abrasive or willing to pull him out of his "fucking dreams". In fact, he was his favourite of all his friends, the only one that never left (sometimes, in the future, he would feel guilty for what happened to him).
4. He gave Siri her name, from a thing he read once in the past, a legendary figure, a queen. He gave Siri her name, taught her how to read and for a time, a very short time, maybe he thought he could have even given her a place in his heart. He taught her about magic, about her origin, he tried to protect her. Tried to save her.
Then everything turned as it did and he never bothered to regret.
(Richard was a better uncle figure, anyway).
5. He loved Marianne, he just thought he loved learning magic more.
(She would be back soon, very soon...)
